There is a way to turn the feature off so that the pop-up doesn't happen and so it doesn't happen to everybody like myself as I hate pop-ups.
I'm guilty as well and for the exact same reasons, but I appreciate when people type that in threads I start. Somebody may forget about a PM or they may get a bunch that they don't realize they missed one. By typing "PM Sent" it helps because when they go back to read the thread they started, they see that I sent them a PM.

This is a great thing to think about and made me feel better. This week I've been called a liar and got some nasty messages. All these just because I've been very nice and willing to work with the people. When you're nice people think you're too nice and call you a liar. It makes me very sad, but your message puts it in a perspective. Thanks Don.

Interesting topics. As for being called a liar, I have never had that happen and I would never say that to anyone. I may come across people, whom in the future I will not trade with, but they know whom they are. All in all, I still believe this is the best forum to do trading under. However, as we all experience we do come across people who "rattle us".

1. the ones who want to trade for high end when all they have is low end
2. people who can't read or take time to read my post. eg. when I say I am looking specifically for ovechkin, crosby, malkin auto rcs. they post and say don't have what you need but check my site or I got malkin mcdonalds insert.
3. the ones who talk about their personal life that has nothing to do with sports cards.

The only tape I will use on toploaders is the "cloudy" looking scotch tape (not the clear stuff). I find it leaves little to no residue and it's also easy to break through to get the card out. The masking tape doesn't leave much residue either, I find it's only clear tapes. It's when somebody ships in the clear packing tape that you need a surgical team to remove that really bugs me.
I also don't like when I make it clear that I'm only looking for certain things and the other person insists on nagging me with out-to-lunch offers. Example: Somebody on another site wants my Kurri Sweet Spot autograph, I told him at the time he first asked about it that I would only trade for bigger name Ultimate Signature cards I needed for the set I was starting to collect at the time. He didn't have anything I needed, but he kept pushing offers on me that I had no interest in. One day I get an email from him saying "Huge offer, $450 BV!" so it kind of caught my attention. The email was about eight pages of low end rookies and inserts with a couple of jerseys and sticker autos mixed in to it. I replied telling him I only collect autographs and very select game-used, and really only wanted to deal for certain cards for the Kurri. He kept getting after me, and eventually sent me another email this time with "$1000 BV!". What do I see? The SAME $450 worth of commons from the first email plus another $550 or so in more commons, and I'm talking old inserts from Pinnacle and Prism. I replied again, telling him I really appreciate the offer but I'm looking for quality over quantity and I had no use for a thousand inserts from the last ten years. I really like the Kurri card and I only want to trade it for certain things, but he won't understand that.

Somebody traded a card you've been in talks about again? Or somebody fizzled away?
There was one user that really wanted a card of mine and after twice trading away cards I wanted in return for mine, I finally traded the card to somebody else since the original guy wasted my time twice in the past. The weird thing is that today I noticed that the cards that they supposedly "traded away" are now back in the person's bucket for trade.

Joni,
All I can say is this looking at your post and feedback. You have made 65 trades and they all been positive. So when I see things like that if someone had a legitimate gripe they could always put it in the feedback if it was the truth.
So just enjoy the good times and be happy with the site. As for being called a liar there two sides to the story. None of us will ever be perfect we can just strive to treat everyone like we wanted to be treated. So enjoy what you like about SCF and try to just let the pet peeves role off your back as you can't control those.

My pet peeve is all the beautiful women that crowd around me day in and day out. It's so hard to go about my daily business when eight hundred women are in sheer ecstasy from the mere sight of me and won't let me be...
