Best Hockey Base Set for TTM?
Hi,
I'm a TTm'er and I'm generally new to hockey TTM, even though I'm a huge fan of the sport. I have been, for the most part collect autos of players from the NJ Devils. I don't want to ignore players from other teams, especially the HOF'ers. I was wondering what the opinon of the board, especially the TTM'ers, what the best base set to send for autographs. I was leaning toward 2001-02 Fleer Greats of The Game. What's your opinon?

Why not 06-07 Parkhurst, it has a good surface, and they made an actual hard signed version of most of the cards...

If you want hofer's I always liked Fleer Great of the Games. Many of the hof'ers will sign and it a nice white design with a black sharpie they look great. They did a feature in the Beckett Mag just released as well.

In addition to 06-07 Parkhurst for Hall of Famer's, I would suggest 08-09 Masterpieces - The cards are not glossy so there are no issues of smudging. The design of the cards is also very appealing!

I completely forgot about Masterpieces. I have a card from that set already out to Clark Giles.

Oh, forgot about Masterpieces, that would be my other choice, I think the big 3 for HOFers are FGOTG, Parkhurst, and Masterpieces...

Opc
For current players, another great set is 07-08 and 08-09 O-Pee-Chee. Cards are non-glossy, and in 2008-09, they go pretty deep into the lineup for many teams.

What about making your own? Would be very unique and 100% you. You could set it up how you want and put a blank spot for them to sign.

No joke, I've heard any set can be made auto friendly. For the ones with a glossy surface you just have to throw some baby powder on the front of the card.
