Dan Miller, Fox 2 news sports anchor and the radio play-by-play commentator of the Lions, usually host the radio shows most Mondays during the regular NFL season. Lions' head coach, Jim Schwartz, usually joins him there live during the 1st half of the radio show, which starts at 7 pm, and breaks down the previous game. Though coach won't be there at next Monday's radio show, he's phoning in during the show. If he's there, he then leaves around 7:30 pm and Calvin Johnson comes in and give his insights on the game and what not. In order to get a chance to get Calvin's autograph, you must have a ticket distributed by the radio station's street team member. They usually begin passing out the tickets around 5:30pm, so get there around that time for a low number ticket and a higher chance of getting Calvin to sign your item.
Signing policy for Calvin is 1 item per person and even with a ticket, there are no guarantees for an autograph since Calvin only signs for as much people as he can during the two commercial breaks before the end of the show at 8 pm. The upcoming show is going to be at the Buffalo Wild Wings on Ford Rd. out in Canton like the first few weeks of the season. That BWW is more spacious than the Westland one and sometimes if Calvin gets there before he goes on air, he does sign a little bit as well. Hope that helps you out and good luck if you're attending.

Attended the Detroit Pistons vs. Atlanta Hawks game at the Palace today. Arrived there extra early to try to graph the Pistons during the pregame shootaround. Got Austin Daye to sign my ticket, since I didn't have anything prepared for him to sign. Also got Kwame Brown and Chris Wilcox on trading cards, unfortunately they used the same dying black sharpie provided by the ushers, so signatures came out crappy.
Jonas Jerebko also signed, but I didn't get him. DaJuan Summers, Rodney Stuckey, Jason Maxiell, Ben Wallace, and Will Bynum ran to the locker room without signing. Missed out on Pistons' assistant coach, Darrell Walker, as he signed a little for the people across the tunnel. Also, missed out on Pistons' radio color analyst, Rick Mahorn, as he signed for the people across the tunnel as he made his way out to the floor and forgotten that Dominique Wilkins was working as an announcer for the Hawks, so didn't have anything prepared for him either. Overall, did ok on graphing, as the game was an awesome one with the Pistons coming away with a victory. Walked away with a pretty cool Ben Gordon mini ornament bobblehead giveaway as well.Last edited by tboculosis; 10-02-2010 at 04:58 PM.
