    Mason. HOLD or SELL

What does everyone think, sell while it's hot now, or wait and see if we get the Cam Ward effect with a playoff run and possible Calder/Vezina trophies? Have a FW SPA just wondering what to do with it!

with all new products the demand is higher when it is released.. selling it now will get you more than waiting. Soon as the market gets more of them out ther the demand will be less.. thus the price will go down

Dan has it right. There are only so many people out there that will pay top dollar for Mason RCs. Once they've all got one, it'll be hard to move them at a higher price. It's possible that his likely Calder win, and a possible Vezina win, that the prices go up even more...... but that will happen in the Summer, when hockey cards are harder to move. By the time next season roles around.... a poor showing by Columbus in October probably means his cards are selling for less than they are now, no matter how many trophies (outside of a Conn Smythe) he wins.

sell now, but keep a few around just in case. I'm having the same issue with Carey Price I wish I did'n't hold on so long as a YG or an auto can be had for alot less then a year ago. and then we all remember a goalie named Jim Carey, I had a rare insert auto of his I believe it was score or BAP I sold it after his rookie year for around $100cdn now I doubt you can get $5 for it.
just keep what you like and sell what will make a nice buck.

Hold it until the third or fourth game of their first round series. If things aren't looking good, ditch them because interest will drop like a stone as everybody remembers that he's a goalie from Columbus.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

remembers that he's a goalie from Columbus.

When we're going on our 5th straight year in the playoffs, I'll remind you that you said that.

Price RCs are a little higher because he's a Hab, but hot goalies are hot goalies. Lundy still has a bunch of strong collectors. Everyone I know who saw Mason in Juniors have been telling me since his first year starting that he was going to be the real deal. I didn't listen like I normally would because we were just coming off a season of Pascal playing lights out. Other than his injury history, no one would have thought this season would have played out like it has. It isnt that we didn't think he was the goalie of the future. Its that we didnt realize he was the goalie of the now.

If you really don't want it and you want the money, I would sell it now. He could have a sophomore slump next season, you never know (although I sincerely hope that will not be the case).
