    I think the key is to buy cards that retain value no matter what. Like the limited logos, NHL shield cards (even though impossible to get). It sucks to invest in these "hot" rookies, then the next year they are terrible. Like Stamkos would be a good guy to invest in to me personally. Just because he had a terrible year for his expectations. Look at who he plays with too. next year he could very well put up 100+ points, and his cards will sky rocket. Just gotta take the gains with the losses, and with a little bit of luck, might make money on your stuff.

    Agreed, buy low, sell high. Brassard is in the same boat as Stamkos, IMO. Already showed some of how good he can be, and prices have been despressed because of the injury.

    To me it isn't even worth it to buy boxes then if you think you can get both Mason and Stamkos at about $75 a piece then why not just do that?

    Lesser rookies can be picked up for really good prices since there are /999 of them.

    It's almost never worth buying boxes. Unless you collect the super expensive players, usually you can pick up a players best card, if not all of his cards from a given product for less than the cost of the box.

    sp authentic is always popular and their fw auto rcs are always in demand. I would say load up on cases.

    Well ya have to have the dough for cases. That is not mwah as I just can't justifying paying that much when I could go hunting at sites, shows, etc.
