This is actually an excellent point.
When the economy recovers on its own, Obama will take credit for his massive spending. Nope.

I'm gonna tell you a secret, but ssshhh, you can't tell anybody......
Iraq was a ballfield we did NOT want homecourt advantage on. We already had intelligence, bases and knowledge of the region, contacts, etc. All we had to do was pick a fight with the other team on their court and wait for the benches to clear.
The benches that cleared were the thousands(if not hundreds of thousands) of radical Islamic terrorists who were looking to slaughter Americans(infidels) on our home court and install worldwide Sharia law to bring about the last Imam or whatever.
We aren't prepared to play this game in the mountanous regions of Afganistan, we needed a really really flat area for our tanks, trucks, APC's, heli's, planes, etc........drumroll...................Iraq.
How convienant, a flat flat area with a horrible horrible dictator who put dissenters in a giant human blender for the fun of it, or other modern day torture chamber.....who also had anyone killed who looked at him wrong, who was testing chem/bio weapons on his people as trials to probably use on us, Israel, Iran, or anyone else outside Iraq.
So as long as the enemy is attacking us on THEIR soil, they are pre-occupied and aren't attacking us on OUR soil. We will keep gathering intelligence on them to finally figure out how to beat the other team......unless we get a coach who doesn't know how to play the game.........
