I don't understand..... I don't see why people on here should expect to save a significant amount of money on the purchase price of a card, compared to what they would get on eBay. The seller is saving a couple of bucks.... but if a card sells for $30 on eBay.... and someone on here offers it for "$30, delivered" I'd say the seller and the buyer are both saving (roughly) the same amount.
I'd just go back to another topic I've read about on here: If you're going to sell cards, post your asking price.
If you've seen a card, with a BV of $60, consistantly sells for $25 - $40 on eBay.... maybe you've decided on $30 as what you want for it. Well say that when you're posting it. You'll probably get a few offers of $20+, but I would like to think that no one is silly enough to low ball you with $15.
People buying cards though, should realize this. I see nothing wrong with trying to haggle a little bit, especially if you're buying multiple cards from someone..... but trying to get someone to come down from their asking price, when the asking price is (roughly) what you'd pay anywhere else.... why should they?

LMAO Classic... I had some offer me $30 on a lot once that was well over $1000. (and it was not k rap)
Agree for the most part. Thou i have not really tried to sell anything here..
The whole paying around ebay prices sounds fair to me. Less trouble imo.
No listing fees. No ending fees.

but that is because they are only worthless in your eyes. The people that are buying them at that price could be needing that card to complete their set or could be a player collector. I know I've paid way more then I should have in order to help beef up my Brashear collection. And I know I've paid near double the book price on some of my Sharks Crown Royale patches. A couple times I lost because someone was willing to go more then double on it. Why would I bid high??? Because I want them in my collection. If I pay $40 for a card why should it really matter if someone thinks its worthless and wouldn't pay $5 for it

Hey ive seen some prices on stuff id never pay for. And that IMO is "worthless" to me. ala i saw in a Basketball thread that someone was bidding like $200 plus for a UD Stitches (dont quote me on the name not really sure) Ewing i think...
Now to me these stitchings.... Unless i get it for dirt cheap... I aint buying it... And im a huge Jerry Rice collector... (look @ my thread) .....
And that right there is why i say what i said. What i think and what you think is gonna be different... Thats why i can say it... AND get this ..... so cant you.... The fact still remains... i said it ... its done...

I will cut a deal for SCF members 95% of the time. Why? Because a lot of them are friends or will become friends while making the deal. I help out my friends, I consider most people on this site to be my friends. I'm not in it to make the most I can from it. I'll look at eBay prices or other prices and subtract shipping, fees, and maybe a couple bucks off the final price if it's a little higher priced.
