you are right...
I'm not defending carcillo, i hate him, but if the league is going to look at 1 head shot, they need to look at all of them.
It's j ust frustrating to see a league get caught up on reptuations, rather than the right thing

I don't think he will get a suspension ... possibly a talking to but probably no suspension. If the same incident happened during a regular season game he would probably face a suspension but with it being playoffs I don't think the league will hand out a suspension. I think he should get a game or two but I don't think the league will make a "playoff example" of him ... who knows though the league is often quite unpredictable and inconsistent.
Cheers

If the NHL is being consistent with its dialogue about timing of these incidents and the "sending a message" mentality, coupled with the viciousness of the incident, Lucic should get two games.
Colin Campbell explained that the Camalleri play was a middle of the game play in which a penalty was assessed, thus no further discipline required. The Carcillo incident was a last-minute event with the game well decided, which is why he received the suspension. That he was out there in a situation in which he does not normally play is the reason that Stevens was fined $10K.
Obviously, Lucic is a solid, all-purpose player for the Bruins. Lapierre is the Habs' de facto second-line centre. They're both players that play with an edge and some serious 'tude, but they're also players that have skill and can put the puck in the net. After Lucic cross-checked Schneider for no apparent reason (the same thing that cost Gorges a 2 minute penalty in Game 1) Lapierre came over and Lucic blasted him right in the head, and then gave the omnipresent facewash/gloved punch. He was given a match penalty under "rule 60.4, which mandates the call when "a player or goaltender attempts to or deliberately injures an opponent while carrying or holding any part of his stick above the shoulders of the opponent," (thanks nhl.com !) and as the NHL.com story explains (read here) that means he will have a hearing before Game 3 on Monday night where the League will make its ruling.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

He will get nothing, Lucic is a big name for the B's, so the NHL won't do anything.
Or the way that the NHL works, maybe they gonna give Lapierre a 2 game suspension for having a stick printed in his face...

The way i see it , Lucic did that to Lapierre because of Game 1 incident after Kessel scored in a Empty Net. Lapierre ran after Kessel for no reason and Lucic came in to defend his teammate.
With a 5-1 lead , he probably thought it was time to take care of this girl
I say he'll be suspended 1 game , but that won't change anything to the Bruins. This series is already over to me.

Which would imply that it would pre-meditated and thus deserving of a longer suspension.
Also, there's no need to feminize players. I know that in the machismo world of pro sports the worst thing to call a man is a woman or one of a woman's parts, but let's keep it respectful yes?

Like you said , maybe it was pre-meditated but IMO , with a closer game ( let's say 2-1 Boston in the 3rd ) that incident would had never happened.

I agree, no need to act macho and call professional players females.
