Thanks guys. I had a good first week, and I start back tomorrow. I am looking forward to it, and very glad to have some work at this point.

Thanks again! I still have much to learn (just finished my fourth day on the job), but they seem happy with my progress.

As much drive that you had to get a job, I truly doubt you will show them anything less than your best. Good luck on the weeks ahead.

OK, good news and bad. The good news: they are happy that I care so much about doing the job correctly (their last receptionist did not care how well she did), and that I have continued to make progress in some areas.
But the bad news - there are two areas they are now very concerned about where I keep making errors. They've learned that I have unusual visual-spatial and multitasking deficits, which they think are probably causing the repeated errors. They also hope I can somehow overcome these problems since the mistakes I am making in these two areas cuts into their own work time as they have to correct the errors I made.
I hope I do not lose the job because of ineptitude in two crucial things the job entails.

Just practice it at home and you'll get better. Talk on the phone and type paragraphs at the same time
