If its cheating on the SAT the coaching staff would know. There is a required scored on the SATs to even been eligible to play in the NCAA. Its something like if you have a 2.0 GPA out of highschool you had to score a 700 and it floats the higher your GPA the lower your SAT could be and vice versa (Note** This was when the SAT was out of 1600.) So if he didn't make the cut once or didn't think he would make the cut the coaching staff would know for recruiting purposes.
But this just goes back to why the mandinatory one year in college is silly. If the kid has no desire to go to school why make him. The school can put that scholarship money to better use on a kid that wants to be there.Last edited by griff2311; 06-02-2009 at 11:24 AM.

But if he got the scores needed to play cheating or not, the coaches would never know. How would they know if he was cheating??? They weren't there to know. Maybe colleges should give the tests from now on. When I was in HS not even the teachers giving the tests wanted to be there. The colleges suffer for the lack of caring......
But you're right, the one year manditory college is STUPID. I didn't have to go to school for a year before I became a professional musician. I don't see the difference.

Everyone involved in this should pay for their actions. It is not fair that some of them will pay and some of them don't

This is just more reason to dump college sports scholarships.

Well i don't think you should dump college sports scholarships but there should be some policies put into place to make student athletes more accountable to them.
