Carey Price likely did a backflip over that news.

It's no secret that Carey didn't like the new style that Rollie was trying to thrust upon him, but Rollie was a key person in getting Carey to Montreal. That's from sources inside Tri-Cities.

I bet we get to see Carey go back to semi stand up goaltending.

Weird talking hockey this early. I thought for sure that Bob was going to wait until the finals were over.......I guess in a way they are!

They need to eliminate the off ice distractions first (ie ganster poker games, drugs, partying). Then they can rebuild.

Hahaha , Martin won nothing with a powerful team ( Ottawa ) so what could he do with an average team like Montreal ? Not much.

OH BY THE WAY , Alex Tanguay clearly said few months ago that he don't want to play defensive hockey and that he would wait to know who's the next coach before deciding if he stays or goes.

I guess we all have the answer.....he is OUTTA HERE.

Was Tremblay the guy who coached Montreal when they traded Patrick Roy because they couldn't get along or am I thinking of someone else?

Also another stupid question but is there still any chance we might get Lecavailer?

Yes Lemaire is that same guy

and there's no way Mtl will put their hands on a guy like Lecavalier. They would have to give a LOT in this case.

Never say never. The Lecavalier rumour simply won't die until 12:01am on July 1st when that NMC kicks into effect.

Everybody get ready for a lot of 2-1 hockey in Montreal - Carey wins the Jennings next year!

I think this rules out any hope of signing Gaborik, not that that was ever in the plans, but I'm sure he won't sign to play in a system that is close to the Minnesota/Lemaire defense first system.

I'm now thinking we focus on acquiring the Niedermayer boys, Francois Beauchemin, and dumping a big pile of money on Bouwmeester. Then try and pick up the Sedins (unlikely), Sundin (equally unlikely, maybe less).

Man we've got some holes to fill. Ugh.

I say no to the Sedins, Sundin (he did nothing for Vancouver, and would have been a joke in Mtl), and the Neidermayers.

Do their best to sign Bouwmeester, and there are a ton of other hard working quality players out there to sign. No more soft Europeans!!!

EDIT: let the Leafs have the Sedins.
