There's certainly no shortage of ink spilled over the move. Habs Inside/Out must have about 20 links to various stories about the decision.

Red Fisher seems iffy; Bob McKenzie seems to be in favour; Pat Hickey cites Jacques Demers in believing that the hiring will positively affect some free agents' decision-making process.

Me, I'm withhold judgment until November 1st. :)
