For those asking why hang themself, maybe he wanted to pass away instantly rather than go through the pain of being sick.

I understand that, but I meant why hanging as the method of choice...there are far quicker and less painful ways to kill oneself.

The rope was tied around his neck and 'another' part of his body - this isn't a suicide, or a murder, just sad. We all have our kinks, this is a strange and dangerous one and it seems as if David Carradine flew too close to the flame as it were...
