I'm honestly not sure if there are still issues or not. I have the Elite now and have not had any issues with it, nor did I have any issues with the one I had prior to the Elite.

If you wont be playing online and you mentioned baseball, I'd get the PS3. MLB the Show is such a great game. It blows away the 2k series.

You can find fanboys/girls for both systems, so it all will come down to your own preference.

I have both also and I think the ps3 is waaaaaaay better. Plus it allows you to install another os so you have a high powered hd game sys and a high powered hd pc all in one.

but the quality and performance tops the PS3

?? That makes ZERO sense...the PS3 is much better looking and more powerful, do you people just make up stuff??

If you aren't going to have a huge game library, get the PS3. I have all 3 (Wii, 360, PS3) and the best looking by far is the playstation. And yes, no "red ring of death", but the newer Xbox models don't break down as much anyway.
I tend to play more war games online now, so I've been playing the 360. But I get my sports games on the PS3.

    Just my .02

I've had both a PS3 and Xbox 360 and my PS3 ended up breaking (and couldnt be fixed either). Plus i think the graphics are better and more colorful on Madden for 360 rather then PS3. Good luck with whatever you choose though! :)

Also, I've had my 360 for a couple years and have had ZERO problems with it. The "Red Ring of Death" can be fixed for about $20 bucks while PS3's (well mine anyways) couldnt be fixed. thanx

when did you buy your ps3, if u bought the 600 dollar version when it first came out, then that's no surprise that it broke

After reading all your posts, for YOU it would be better that you get a PS3 given your circumstances. Should you ever decide to go online, and play non-sports games then you can get the X360.
