wow, people keep saying sorry that's what you pulled. "What a letdown" "That sucks" I don't think people really don't know too much about Gene Baker. He was a member of the Navy during World War II, he played for the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro Leagues before coming to major league baseball, he was the first African-American to be the manager for a minor league team, then became the Pirates top scout for 23 years after that. All-star in 1955, part of the winning World Series team in 1960.

May not have been a high profile name, but sure was an interesting person

All very true but based on some of the other cut autos numbered to five of the legends of baseball for me it is still a let down compared to the other cuts.

Still it is a cut auto and when you get two per case, the box was a good one.

That sucks on the Baker. Yeah I would agree that is a huge let down after seeing the 3/5. Good luck in the future.

was thinking the same thing. I pulled an Ossie Bluege cut auto. Guy wasn't that great a player, but became a manager and pretty much spent his entire adult life working on the Washington Senators payroll.

    Just like Ted Kennedy! :Rimshot:

But seriously, if anyone gets a Mark Belanger cut, I've got cash.
