yes it only works if you think that the person you are dealing with might lie and say they did not get it. It's really over used.

Yup, I'm another staffer that will never tell anyone to use DC, complete waste of money. If you want to pay $.75 (or whatever it is now) for a warm, fuzzy feeling, go right ahead. If someone asks me to send w/DC on a low end deal, I usually will, just to give them that warm, fuzzy feeling and to avoid any problems...if someone asks on a high end deal, I ask if we can send with insurance instead.
It's real simple: package lost w/DC = tough luck...package lost w/Ins = PO pays for their mistake.

BUT I will say this. I had a deal the other day and the guy paid for DC. Usualyl that doesn't help at all in terms of tracking. But when I went to the USPS website I got this:

Hey are you hi-jacking my thread?
I understand exactly what you are saying!!!!
The package I received today showed it had been received at the senders Post Office on the 16th of June and out on delivery today, but never showed it being received at the Jackson Post Office.

I actually have been getting updated information lately on DC it really depends on if the post office actually scans it into the system once it arrives in the next location or if they just sort it through the bins. sometimes my updates stop somewhere far away but its delivered the next day.

Doesnt make sense at all (The art about delivering to wrong adresses)
A UPS man JUST came to our house like 10 minutes ago for a package to be delivered to 3 Cortland Rd Chelmsford, MA. I live at 3 Cortland Rd. Westford, Ma. So, wrong town. The part I dont understand is that its their job! I expect them to be able to read the address and deliver it to the right person!

imagine how many millions of pieces of mail they deliver, they're bound to mess up a few people when delivering mail, you have way to high of standards. whenever you get a job, i'll be expecting you to never mess upHidden Content
