I thought the same thing but there is an option on the TTMM that lets you see the most recent success. It is on the left side

I agree that Maple19 and others put alot of time in the old address section. The problem is that we had nothing in place to see when the address was last active. We have many addresses that were active when they were posted in the old system that are just old! It is no ones fault as they do become dated. Yes, we have already had changes in the current database. That only shows how quickly things change! The thing is that you can now list an address and then list your success or RTS and let others know in that way! I agree that I do not want people throwing away stamps and knowing how current an address is and when it last worked should help that!
I also look at the success forums here at SCF. The thing is that with the new TTMM you can select your sport and click on recent success tab on right side and see it alot more clearly. They are organized in one section that is a list. It is quicker and easier. You can see all the successes entered in by each section. You also have updates as to what addresses were used, when and success rate per address! I understand that some fear change. I remember when my grandparents swore they would never own a microwave. After a few years they were given one for Christmas and it set there on the counter for a long time. The microwave started to be used for coffee warm ups, then eventually was being used for leftovers and now grandma will actually use some microwave food. I know that even huge improvements are sometimes looked at with questioning eyes, but check out the TTMM and all its features! You will quickly see how the improvement in the tools could save you time and give you better information to grow your collection. Those who say it is short on addresses should realize how large the database is for its newness and that the addresses can only grow as we all add more into it! Best of luck to all on your requests!

as someone who was on the other side of this argument at one point, I can see why so many people might not be fans of the current database- but the point of having the database is to make it more beneficial to members. Having a list of addresses is fantastic, dont get me wrong- but most people never posted successes with the addresses- they posted in the success forum, and rarely said which address they used- whether it was the one on this site, or one from somewhere else.
By having all successes with the addresses, people who want to write to a person know that the address is good, because they can see, as they prepare to write to a player, the successes in the past.
Far too many of the addresses in the old forums were, as Mike stated, dated- and with no input from autograph seekers, we couldnt do anything to remove or update those addresses- the new database allows for that.
As far as members posting that addresses need to be updated, added, or changed- youre right, they do. But please remember, the staff can only do so much- if you see an address that is dead or outdated, please let one of us know- but since we are all volunteers with jobs, and non-SCF lives (shocking, I know) understand that we will get to it in a timely manner, but that may not be within 5 minutes.
If you dont see an address that should be there- ADD IT! It takes about 1 minute, if not less, to update the TTMM and make it that much more useful for everyone
