so how long should i really wait for payment? I put in the auction that I expect payment within 5 days of auction ending, and its only like $6 and have gotten no payments nor responce to my invoice? Im not sure how long people usually take to pay as I normally within hours of the auction ending. And how do I free up the auction if the guy doesn't pay?

normally i give people 7 days. sometimes people are out of town. if he hasnt paid by the 7th day email him and say if he doesnt pay by the end of the day you may leave negative feedback. i try to avoid this if at all possible as once in a while you may get a joker who doesnt care and will leave you negative feedback for no reason.

the last step is open an unpaid resolution case where they get a week to pay and if not you get full credit for your ebay fee and can relist the item.
i dont know what your fees were on 6 bucks so its up to you wether you want to do that or screw it and just relist the card. good luck in teh future.

I agree 7 days is usually ample time to have payment received. Depending on where the person that purchased was from - there are a couple of holidays (both Canadian and US) that some people might be away from. Try a payment remider, give that a couple of days if that doesn't work I guess I would file a NPB (non-paying bidder) if I remember correctly you must wait a week for this to be filed anyway and it takes a while to get everything processed through ebay/payapl but you will recover you final value fees for the purchase and listing. I also think that since you do file a NPB that the buyer isn't able to leave you a negative for the transaction but then again neither are you but the seller does get a hidden NPB strike from ebay in their "file".

Good luck and I hope that this helps -
