he's not stupid, he loves getting all the one-timers from Thornton

yeah, and going out in the first round of the playoffs again :)...public enemy #1 for kings fans. glad he's in the same division so we can take a few runs at him.

don't know what your beef is with him but when the Sharks were down in L.A. he got a nice ovation each time from the crowd

when blake retires i can appreciate him again. when blake left the kings for the avalanche a few years back i totally understood and was happy to see him get a ring. he wanted a shot at a ring, etc. but when he re-signed with the kings a couple of years ago he said he wanted to finish his career in LA.
the kings weren't very good the last year of his contract and asked if he wanted to be traded to a contender. he refused a trade and the kings didn't get anything for him and then he walked away and signed with SJ. no class in my opinion.
when he retires i'll appeciate what he did for the kings, but for now i'll root against him as much as possible.

Lets clarify here.
Blake was open to get a trade done. He actually almost went BACK to Colorado but the Av's wouldn't give LA a good return on him so it was no fault of his own, blame Lombardi for trying to get greedy........................
Why is no one giving Luc a hard time for going to Detroit for nothing? Exactly.
Blake was a great player for LA for a LONG time and will always be remembered as a King. I wish everyone would get over it.

That's not the story I heard, but obviously I can't say anything for sure. Luc was different since he came back and retired a king. Blake vetoed a trade (what I heard) because he didn't want to move and then left at the end of the year anyway leaving the kings with nothing. That's my beef, not that he left as I understand that part of it.

I get what you're saying though. I wished he had stayed a King as well but at this point of his career, much like Chelios, he wants to win, which any of us can/should understand. That obviously isn't happening in LA anytime soon................
