Great trade. I agree, if he was happy with what you offered, it was a fair trade. Anyone that has a Lebron Jersey Auto numbered to 25 probably knows quite a bit about the hobby.
By the way, is there any chance that you got that Lebron card for me?

There is no way that someone with a Lebron James does not know that they have a mammoth of a card. Therefor, he either got what he wanted for the James or was unloading stolen goods.

That's what I'm saying. Someone with a high-end card like that isn't oblivious to what it's worth. It's naive to think he is.

Why is this such an issue? No one forced the guy to do the trade. If both parties are happy, there is no issue. Some people are in this for the hobby and not the money.

I can see both sides here. Sure the OP made a great trade for himself, and maybe he knowingly ripped the guy off. But both were happy with the end of the trade they received. Maybe the guy with the 'Bron got ripped off (knowingly or not), but he was happy.

It happens Ryo... I purchased a lot of classic video games which I knew were worth a good chunk of change. I actually called the guy and told him straight up and he said I don't have a credit card to sell and no time to worry about that stuff. I got 200+ worth of games for 80 dollars. It happens man

I don't think the OP ripped the guy off. Ryo you bring business into this. Business is all about trying to get the best deal possible. Being a smart trader does not mean you are ripping someone off. It means you get to live to trade another day.
I know I have made trades where I have sent off significantly more in bv than the cards i received. But I WANTED the cards I received and not the ones I sent. That simple.
Additionally, I don't like that the former Labron card holder is being called naive. We don't know what his thoughts were. Maybe . . . MABYE 1) card is stolen 2) card is fake 3)his parents throw $$ at him like it's nothing - thus he could replace it 4) we can speculate all day and night.
I bet Brandt thought the Matt Ryan Exquisite Signature Patch that he bought from me for under $900 was the best deal of his life . . . does that mean I got ripped off? If you go by BV or SV then I got screwed. If you go by what I paid to get the card - then i more than doubled my money!
It's all relative to the people in the situation.
Cheers
