    pod-i think the nfirst was a 1995 or 97 hockey set. not sure though.

    the first gu baseball I think was in '98 or '99. Upper Deck is the one who started this whole mess.

    I just looked it up on beckett and there was a '97 Gwynn.
    My mistake. The thing books for $50. You would be hard pressed to find a GU that is not serial numbered or have 2 or 3 different colors that goes for that much now.
