Why? Shanny's a good team guy and all, but you need to spend your $ on speed.

2.5 mil per year for each of his elbows. Second thought, either they know Emery will be no dud, or they really believe JVR is the real deal. 5 mil/year is great deal on Pronger for the next couple years but beyond that its dead weight.

    Amazing deal!!!!

    So pumped for this

He's 34, and he averaged 26 minutes of ice time a year last year. He's a perfect fit for the Flyers. Our defense needed something and he provides the boost that will HELP us stop the power forwards in the East. OUr defense by itself struggled at times, but still was very solid. Now we had a future hall of famer and someone who scored 48 points last year.

this is an amazing move and is a great contract

I guess people forget that Lidstrom is 40 i believe? And still such an important part of the Wings. pronger will be playing til he's close to 40. The last two years of his contract are 525,000.

    Amazing deal!

Boucher, the best back up in the league in my opinion. Ask any Sharks fan. He came in and really stole many games for them last season when Nabakov was hurt.

Emery will not be a dud. He's got his back against the wall and either performs or goes home. Emery has been to a cup finals, but let the Ottawa spotlight get in his head when he was younger. I feel he's much more mature now and can be a BETTER GOALIE than Biron was.

All philly is asking is that he's better than Biron and I'll be shocked if he isn't

But Pronger isn't Lidstrom. I prefer have Lidstrom that is 40 in my team then Pronger at 35-6.

Do the flyers are over the salarial cap now ?
