I don't see what the big issue is with having a so called "bad" deal once in a while. Sure lots of people don't like them, but theres a new one every week. Thats FIFTY TWO deals a year, I'm sure whoever has a VIP will end up liking one of them and it will easily pay off the VIP membership. Add the fact this is just a bonus to the VIP membership and SCF/Blowout didn't have to offer it, I don't see any reason to complain.

Actually for those of us who actually like to collect cards for the purposes of making sets and enjoy cards that don't have a sticker sig or a piece of cloth on them, this is a great product.

Thank you I thought I was the only one left who actually like to collect for fun and not for $$ good luck with your collection and I might take this deal

Exactly! Does Blowout cards have to give us discounts? NO! Do they give us discounts? YES! You must not understand that if all of you are looking for $100-200 off a hight end product, that can't happen every week! I mean I know it may have been a let down after the first amazing offer, but Blowoutcards can't do that alot because they are losing money but taking so much off the price. Just like for all you guys that have a buisness, are you going to sell everybody bags of chips for a penny? NO! But you may sell them for 2/$1 or something, which may still make you lose some money, but not nearly as much as selling it for a cent.

Does that make sense at all to anybody?

    I highly doubt it.

The smartest thing this site can do is disable comments on the weekly announcement. As with anything else in life, no matter what Blowout does, some segment of this community will complain.
If I was Blowout and either paying to advertise here, or simply offering the discounts for their position here, I would not want the whining to be visible on the announcement thread which might discourage some people from buying the weekly product because a segment of the hobby snubs their nose at it either because it is not the sport they collect or they deem it not worthwhile because pulling a 1 of 1 Dooley Womack shoelace card is not possible.
The fact is, they could offer an high end and low end product from every sport every week and still, some here would find reason to complain.

They stated from the start that they encourage feedback, disabling comments would sure put a crimp in that.

I think they know they aren't going to please all the people all the time, but if they eliminated feedback, they would have a hard time pleasing most of the people most of the time, which I believe is their goal.

I think they will learn that the people who are happy most of the time won't say anything. Message boards breed whining and complaining. That is true on all segments of the internet.

So in order for people to be happy you have to pretty much give something away or let them whine.
That is what your two posts have said.
Either you give away a high end product or as you said, you allow whining in order to keep most people happy. "but if they eliminated feedback (whining) , they would have a hard time pleasing most of the people most of the time"

Ultimately, the only feedback that matters is the number of boxes sold to SCF VIP members.

I don't understand why "I don't want a low end product so I'm not buying." isn't legitimate feedback.
