    Also one other thing I find extremely interesting. The autographs of the old players are extremely legible compared to todays players. I know that they didn't have to sign nearly as many autos back in their day but it is quite noticable. Out of the 160 autos in the 1997 set, I bet there are maybe 6 that have illegible autographs.

    While they didn't sign for card companies I'm guessing they were signing for fans more often than they do today. I have heard that players were alot more accessible prior to big contracts.

    Super sweet Barry Sanders auto'd card. That 1997 UD Legends auto set was just plain ridiculous. A true testament of time.
