Wow
I got bored so I asked for my password to check in and can not believe how far right this board has gone with Mike being the Rush Limbaugh
It's funny you guys are killing Obama after less then 6 months but gave your god bush 8 years to terrorize the country..
I have no intention to vote for Obama again but at least give the guy 2 years, He hasn't let our country be attacked yet like bush on 9/11 , hasn't started 2 illegal wars against countries who did nothing to us. Hasn't broke many laws and robbed people of their freedoms while taking away liberties and torturing people..
I will not vote for obama because he is letting bush get away with all the crimes he has committed and will not investigate.. But guess you all agree since the right wing whackjobs have taken over..
don't bother banning me I was just checking in If I want to see the stupid statement like I see on here I will visit the Glenn Beck boards...

Beautifully said...that tells me all I need to know about your opinion right there.
And why would we ban you? I look forward to your drive-by bashings every 2-3 weeks.

In all fairness...at this point in Bush presidency, he hadn't let 9/11 happen yet either...he had to make sure he had a nice long summer to clean up the ranch before he gave the ok

Bush LET the country be attacked?
Illegal wars? um...didn't we just move into Afghanastan with OhOhbama as the President?
breaking laws...robbing people...taking away our liberties....torturing people...? I am sure a few of our former POWs from the War in Iraq would like to talk to you about torture.
Oh wait!....I forgot...I gave 20 years of military service to the United States so that YOU could voice your opinion.

I'll be the bad guy and disagree with this. I can bet your intent before joining the military wasn't to "give voices to fellow Americans." No. Wrong. The majority of post-Korean War soldiers are given fantastic perks to joining. Sure, some will end up traumatized, but most to whom I've spoken were persuaded to join. You gave 20 years because, for a reason likely financial or academic, you chose to. I received my opinion when two events occurred:
1. I registered to vote (you didn't impact this).
2. I found myself a big bloody mouth (posts like yours tend to impact this).
Save your gloating for the passers-by who "thank you" when you wear a uniform. The fact that you try to hold "freedom" above the heads of those who oppose your personal views disgusts me.
Note: The majority of my family has served, at one point or another, in a war, dating back to WWI. While I am anti-war, I do have respect for a large amount of those who decide (without coerison) to serve their country. However, this is a poor reason to force political views, and should not be used as a catalyst to gain notoriety or support on this forum or anywhere else.

I actually mostly agree with Yanksfan...
But I will hold off on making too many further comments, as it will just result in people getting hot-headed over the deception of the dichotomy of Reps vs. Dems. I see a majority of posters here taking it upon themselves to further divide the issues under such pretenses. That's what the parties want us to do. Yet here many continue on, posting nasty comments against each other because our perspectives have become so engrained with the advancement of party politics, which has been irrevocably been transferred onto the people as agents of party beliefs forced upon them.
That is all.

Yanksfan...
"reason likely financial or academic"...what????
I joined right right after the end of the Vietnam era. At the time that they were NOT offering any perks.
...and the statements that were made by streicher187 were inaccurate...but I see you have the democratic donkey as your avatar, so you will defend a democratic buddy instead of the truth.
and as far as your "Note: The majority of my family has served, at one point or another, in a war, dating back to WWI. While I am anti-war, I do have respect for a large amount of those who decide (without coerison) to serve their country."
YOU have respect?..then you should respect those of us that have served and keep your mouth shut. Be glad you have a safe place to lay your head at night.
