They used to be with the Tobacco products, a few years back all the retailers stopped doing that.

They have scales and weigh the packs. Not sure on the particulars but that is how most of them know what packs to get.

They used to have that at a Pathmark by where I live. Never seen it again.
But seriously that's why I don't buy single packs anymore.

Pack searchers can run the pack in between their fingers to feel out a GU or even an auto. That's what I've heard.

There is a way. I've seen people do it tell me. It has to do with pushing the cards so there uneven in the pack. Not going to say anymore but that's part of it.

is it worth it to even tell on them anymore? I went to opening sealed hobby boxes now because of this. All they have to gain from bending packs is a 2-3 dollar jersey card. Not condoning this, but man so many do it, hard to become cops on this subject.
My biggest beef is the turd's who slit open the sides of the packs or even leave open packs in the boxes.
Good for you for catching them, i just gave up. Odds are so hard to get anything as it is from retail. Safer getting a blaster if you need that fix or cant get to hobby stores.

lets not forget the dealers that search their own stuff. i say that they are lower than pack searchers.
