Slow week?
I guess it might just be a slow week but there really is a lack of recent successes since the message boards got removed. The TTM manager is neat and all, but it has obviously really cut down the number of people reporting successes. I see the time I spend checking this page dwindling in the future.

yep, not a smart idea to delete those threads when the majority obviously wanted them to stay

I wanted them to stay, the TTMM isnt that bad but i wish they would have kept all the address and successes of all the previous posts

I don't understand why more people don't use it. The more people that add to it the better it gets. It's got lots of advantages too.
It takes no longer to add a success or failure. Once you start using it, it keeps track of everything you've sent out as well. You go down down the list and see what has come back and which of your requests are still pending and how long they've been out. It calculates you success rate too. It's much more organized and user friendly than simply posting on a thread which offers none of that.
Addresses are easier to find as well. You can find the player you are looking for in a second and then see all the successes and/or failures without having to look back through pages of the success threads or asking around. Addresses and successes are in the same place unlike before too.
It serves the exact same purpose as the success threads as well. You can see the recent successes but in a much neater, formatted way. Each sport is just a click of a tab away.
Maybe I'm missing something but what's not to like about the TTMM? There may be some gaps in coverage/addresses but those will quickly be filled as more people add their results. Some may choose not to use it or find they don't like it which is fine, but I've seen a large handful of new members posting in the Autograph forum since the TTMM has been introduced. I'm a big fan of it so I guess I'm missing the problems.

I understand its a shame to lose a lot of those addresses. That should have been handled differently. But the successes were not organized in anyway and difficult to sift through. Many were outdated. With the TTMM it is so much easier to find info.
Obviously there are not nearly as many successes or failures repoted in the TTMM as there were in those threads at this point. That being said, if people would use it, it will quickly fill up and put the success threads to shame. Theres a transition period, but the fact of the matter is that the success threads are gone and not using the TTMM is not going to help anyone.

Hey guys- the success threads are gone, please realize that this was done because we on staff felt that the TTMM was a far superior tool. I realize that there are several members who are not a fan of them being gone. Let me say this
First of all, please try the TTMM, if you havent
Secondly- if you have questions or concerns, PM the staff. We are discussing a lot of things to make the forum more active and better than it already is, but we are always up for new ideas- so if you have an idea that you think will make the forum better, please, give us a heads up. we are not here to make the forum difficult or less active, we are here to make it better. So lets hear some constructive criticism, help us make the forum one that you will be excited to use!

And, it has been a slow week (at least for me!) I usually average 10-12 returns by Wed each week. I'm at 2 after today. Ugh.

We don't like change... we fear change... But seriously, the ttmm is pretty cool, but people also don't like being forced into change. Couldn't there have been a way to make any success posted in the manager into a new post on the old threads as well so both got updated and both were still around?
