Okay I think I mentioned this before, and Jeremy can confirm for me if he sees this message, but I am quite certain he offered to host these images on a website himself to make this available to everybody. It is my understanding it was part of the offer he made to Upper Deck when pitching this idea in the first place, if he had approached Upper Deck to host the images on their own he might not even be down there right now. The images WILL be available to everybody, it is just a matter of getting the word out there once it is complete. It is a big world, not everybody will be exposed to these images overnight no matter what medium you use to publish it.

Dean, I hear what you are saying in J's defense but I think we all need to step back and chill.
I have no doubt in my mind that Jeremy will do the right thing for the best of everyone.
Everyone is so jaded now in this hobby this year's Cup will be exciting for a month or so and then it will be ho hum for the hardcore collectors as usual waiting for next years version.
Remember folks, these are PIECES OF CARDBOARD! Holy blown turbo, everyone RELAX!

I'm just choked at people saying he has to do this or he has to do that with the pics......
What everyone has to understand is that it's not UD doing this picture taking endeavor.....its Jeremy!!! And not to mention on his own time and his own expense!!
Other than that I seriously doubt people need to tell him what to do with the pics. You know Barry, as well as I do, as well as ALOT of other people do, that he's doing this for ALL of US!!! The guy is as good as GOLD in this hobby and more people should start to appreciate the thing that he's done here...instead of worrying what site he belongs too, where he's going to post the pics and where he's going to host the pics. He's even taking his time out of the all picture taking and tweeting us as well....Just to keep us informed about the process of the pack out and pics of all the cards!!
This could be a HUGE turning point in our hobby and I'm glad Jeremy is leading the way and alot of us should appreciate it!! The hobby has asked for this loud and clear after a few of these patch forging stories broke out and as they say.....baby steps forward!! If you take all the activities in the hobby, a database of pictures will help collectors on a daily basis to rank the cards over the whole production run, while someone will maybe face the patch forging problem only once in a decade (of course it is a start). For example, we will see collectors wanting to get over the 99 cards produced of a player the "14" cards 3-colors Turris The Cup Patch RC #/99 (it is an example) with their specific serial numbers. We never saw this before because we never know the status of the other cards produced in a whole production run. A totally new way to collect, and to search for very specific cards. This is my point. I hope you understand that Dean, and you don't see it "negative".

Hi again,
Update - today I photographed 7110 cards. Add that to yesterdays 6,071, for a total of 13,181 so far. Awesome progress.
Barrie - was anticipating your call. But maybe wait until I leave here and head to the National. I need to constantly ensure I stay ahead of the pack collating.

JF - As I have trouble understanding the intention of your posts, I will simply not respond for fear that I misinterpret them.
To address the fact that Pogge is /99 - The guys at UD are also not thrilled about it. But please read the following carefully - back in NOVEMBER, when they made these designations, Mason was no big deal and either was Filatov, who actually may not have even played a game yet (I may be wrong). The UD guys would love to go back and change it for us.
With respect to the images I am capturing and their future distribution - this is still undetermined. One thing I can safely tell you all is that taking the pictures only represents likely 20% of the work. They need to be cropped and sorted. I am very intimidated by the size of that task, considering that I have a career which takes up much of my time. But I will figure something out, but it will likely take months to work through.
Lastly, I had been a member here 2 years ago under a different name (fakepatchreport). I Didn't post much but have lurked here often. I have zero against this forum. I post on HI regularly because several of my friends do, and to be frank, I like it. I also like it here.
Anyway, Please bear with me as I do my best to ensure that my labour benefits the greater hobby going forward.

First let me just say thank you for embarking on such a huge and significant project. I just have a couple questions for you which you can feel free to answer at your leisure.
1.) Are you allowed to tell me whether or not Tim Kennedy has a patch/auto in this set? If not I understand ;)
2.) Can I help? I understand that I can't go down there and help with the picture-taking process but if you would like some help in cropping and sorting some of the photos I'd be willing to donate some of my time to helping with that part of the process to help lighten your massive load and help speed the process a bit.

Just read this thread and gotta say this is an amazing thing that Jeremy is working on. Spending his own money and own time to help all collectors. This may very well be a turning point in the hobby and will hopefully help eliminate patch forgers. Whether it be on this forum or HI where he posts updates, it doesn't matter. It's his project, using his own resources. Thanks for taking this on and good luck the rest of the way! :)

Very nice work Jeremy. What you do is a huge work. I think it will help to set the future standards, i.e. UD will need to include the scanning process in an automated production process to create/build a picture database. It is really a possible task with an engineer specialized in production process, and if UD is interested to modernize their process. Of course, humans could always be there to select the cards per packs. Something really possible, we are in 2009. The intention of my posts was to say that with a database of pictures, not only patch faking is adressed, but UD is also intentionally/indirectly opening a new way to collect in the hobby, people will know which cards over a print run are the nicest copies possible to get even before the first The Cup tin will be openend (of course is pictures will be available).

First of all, do you mean Paul and not Peter?
And if it is Paul I am gonna have to call out UD again since they did the same blunder with UD Black, putting Paul in the Pride of a Nation subset with a Canadian flag instead of of an American one.........
