256 mb ram
I only have 256 MB of RAM on my current computer. Time for an upgrade right?

Haha well what is the average now? I have had my current desktop since college so it's about 7 years old now not to mention really s-l-o-w. I want a laptop as my next computer.

avg is minimum of a gig.
most newer systems are going to have 2 gig on them
both of mine have 4, but it's definitely not necessary

I have a GIG of RAM right now in my computer. Runs very smooth, and for the price I can get a Gig for, I was thinking of getting another stick.

Your computer only runs as fast as your front side bus, prossecor is nice but only really neccecary to have an expensive one if you play games. I have 2GB ram and I'm cool with that..I don't do any activities like movie making/editing music or i'd need 8GB+..
First off, depending on what computer you have just go into their live support ( like dell) and ask what type of ram your computer needs..then go on www.newegg.com and buy a stick..but make sure your Mobo (motherboard) can handle the alloted ram your feeding it. (some older mobos can only handle 1gig)..otherwise, just do like I do..if you have a gov. Surplus store in town, I just go and ask them for a 512 stick and they have a drawer full they sell for about a buck.
Thanks

I run both my desktop and laptop at 4GB of RAM. Both I will be able to upgrade to 8GB in a year or so and both run nice. Obviously a faster processor and a faster hard drive will also help things run a little faster.

Well since my computer is so old I don't think it's capable of handling all the add ons. I'm hoping to get a new computer for Christmas. I keep getting this message saying, "Windows Virtual Memory Running Low" whenever I look at photobuckets which is quite annoying.

It was time to upgrade five years ago. lol
I'd go with 1 GB at minimum. You may be better off getting a new computer.
