The Official Topps Boycott Thread
Let me start off by saying that I always preferred Topps over Upper Deck.Their products have always been more collector friendly(i.e. no $500 packs); and I've always thought they had the best card designs.With that said, Topps has taken a turn for the worse.Since finding out that the NBA were not renewing their contract, Topps has taken out their frustration on their customers.Basketball collector's who have pulled redemption cards recently have been receiving undervalued replacements instead of the card promised to them.Everyone knows about the Spud Webb ordeal.Now we're getting reports that Topps is sending out common RC's to replace RC Autos.With this new development, I will not be buying Topps products until they straighten their act.

I won't be buying Topps or Upper Deck products anymore as long as Panini comes through with some halfway-decent products. I'm done with them!

put my name on the list. BTW, the Spud Webb autos are selling on Ebay for $.99 to $3.00. After Ebay fees, you can get a small shake at McDonalds.

basketball is going down hill with all the companys losing contracts and other companys screwing people over with redemtions. looks like obama needs to bail out the card companies now ( just hope he doesnt handle it like he did the cash for clunkers bail out ) i just hope panini signs a couple other rookies and hope they get other players to join their campaign but then again they do have some big shoes to fill now that there is no more upper deck but what competition do they have now that topps is doing what they are doing. panini is not going to have to do much to get ahead of the competition. i honestly think that panini will shock the card collectiong world in october and release some nice cards. but there is realll nothing that could be done on cards thats any different shoes,jerseys,autos,shorts,hardwood
shirts and other items have already been used so i guess panini is going to have to raid nba stars homes and vehicles to get something new to throw on the cards now. but lets hope for the basketball card collecting world that they dont blow it!!!!!!!

Tons of collectors have sent in various auto redemptions only to receive a high-numbered Topps Signature Spud Webb auto as a replacement.Spud isn't a bad replacement for a lesser player but some people have received that card in place of Derrick Rose RC autos.And that's just not acceptable
