I think Stanton has a bright future, but for now, Culpepper should be second string.

culpepper, with stafford as the backup/qb in training for this year.

keep stanton as a 3rd teamer, or even see if another team sustains a qb injury in the preseason, and work a trade

stanton will never play consistently in detroit

Being a Lion's fan my entire life, I would really like to see them give Stanton a real chance this year to show what he can do! Culpepper is a very experienced veteran, but he'a not as fast or agile as he used to be. Stanton has been pretty good in his decision making and he can scramble when he has too. Culpepper can't really do that any more. I say Stanton has earned the right to be the started, at least for now! Just my opinion.

You weren't impressed w/ how well Culpepper moved. I thought he looked much improved.

Yes, he did move around well, but after all the years of the Lion's having promising players and not giving them an opportunity-I'd really like to see that change! Stafford is the QB of the future, maybe sooner than we think-but until he is ready I really feel that Stanton should be the starter. I think Stanton can "create" more options given his ability to scramble and he does have a very, very strong arm! If he can't get it done, then Culpepper can step. But, like I said, just my opinion!

I think Lion's fans have alot to be excited about but IMO Culpepper gives them a better chance to win.

Stanton. Fan of him since his MSU playing days. He's still young and just need more playing time to build up his confidence. Culpepper is going to be moving on after this season or the next, the Lions will need somebody to start and back up between Stanton and Stafford.
