Back on topic...
Lebron will have similar averages to last season - I'll say his scoring stays around 28 ppg, his rebounds will go down slighly to 6 rpg, and his assists will go up slightly to about 9 apg...but, that's if Shaq stays healthy for at least 60 games...if not, then Lebron will have 29/8/8 or so, IMHO...if he does that, he'll probably be named MVP, unless Dwight or CP3 put up insane rebounding and assisting numbers, respectfully.
SI predicts LBJ will be the MVP again.

A Chicago columnist, Sam Smith, has said that Lebron James could end up signing in Los Angeles, with the Lakers, in the summer of 2010. SportsNation on ESPN was talking about it today, and they were saying that if Lebron wants to get his global image, LA would be the place to go, and that David Stern should make it happen. Personally, I think that if Lebron went to LA, with Kobe, why would there be NBA-wide fanship anymore? If one team has the two best players in the league, wouldn't that turn some fans away, as there would never be the Lebron vs Kobe games anymore, like the Bird vs Magic games of the 80's. Seems like a bad idea to me if Stern would be looking to increase the number of fans of the NBA.

Hahaha....that'll happen the day pigs fly.
Kobe and LeBron on the same team....what would be the point in watching the NBA anymore? They'd go 78-4 AT WORST, and would MAYBE lose one playoff game the whole way.
Sam Smith needs to take his head out of his rear-end on this one.

Yeah, I'm pretty much in agreement...that would be horrible for the NBA...you didn't see Bird and Magic on the same team...didn't see Wilt and Russell on the same team...didn't see Jordan and Reggie on the same team...even getting into more recent stars - KG and Duncan, Nash and Iverson, etc, etc, etc...why would this make any sense? Sure, Lakers' fans would have a blast, but the other 29 teams would lose attendence, and viewership/fanship would overall go down.

wow, that's a scary thought. I agree with all of you, if those two teamed up it would be over, there would be no reason to watch, unless you wanted to see blowouts and dunks galore lol. They would sort of be the Yankees of basketball. The NBA is built on good rivalries, and it should stay that way to make the game interesting.
