Basketball Chat Virus
not sure where to post this, everytime I go into the basketball chat I Get a scareware trojan, doesn't matter since im on linux but I don't want users here to get it..can we switch to another chat client?
(this was in the live chat going on tonight)

as a precaution i'd suggest you dl and run CCleaner and Malware Anti-Bytes..both will find and destroy anything malicious still on your computer..rather not take a risk since I use paypal everyday..
both are free.

I got a virus from it too. Thankfully, I was able to restore my computer to a previous date before it screwed everything up.

Too bad guys. Will there be a chat next week if the problem's solved? I had a live blaster to break too.

It wont put anything malicious on since it just ran a gif of something scanning in your my computer but whe nits done it trys to install a .exe..I just know theres a lot of young kids and old farts here who don't know much ;)

Hopefully we can move to a safer chat site..or you can open you're own IRC channel (internet relay chat) it which is much better..you can use an addon from firefox or download mIRC..which is free. admins have ability to kick/ban/mute spammer etc.
