The trojan probably came in with the publicity scripts. I don't think the company application is risky but it always possible that one make it's way via publicity.
For now, we pay for this service and there is no talk to change it. If anyone get a virus warning, they can send me a PM and I can then contact the company and have them address the problem.
The main problem we have is that we can't use system like MIRC for instence. The reason is simple. We at SCF want to provide a safe environent for trader to perform trades and not be scammed.
Authentifying the user in a chat room is crucial in our decsion to host a chat. If we can't use VBulletin to authentify user, it's not good for us. But that is probably the only one that will not have our site crash because it not hosted on our server (chat system are heavy on server) and it also let only the legit SCF user and garanty this is the same user.
I rather work with the company to fix these thing if I get PM fast enough. No one wants customer to get virus. I am sure we can work around these problems. If your antivirus detect anything, let me know and I will try my best to resolve issue. If this is to happen too often then we might decide to stop using the service to protect our users. If we were aware of viable solution we would be exploring them. But because we have a VBulletin validation requirement is limit us in choice to implement other solution.
I am always willing to listen to other solutions.
So if any of this happen again let me know. For now unless no one report virus again I will consider this event as finish.Last edited by CoolHandLuke; 09-08-2009 at 12:51 PM.

It will happen and it might not, it's just a litter ad on the bottom of the chat page what will have a pop-up, problem is its out to trick you..it won't look like a popup it will look like when you click my computer and will say you have viruses (Scareware) then it will ask you to download somethingsecuritysoftware.exe...I just want to remind everyone never to download .exes if you don't know who they are from or if they are not trusted companies/sites..thanks.
