Just had to post since I've been listening to them the past few day's ...
GOODIE MOB
C-Lo:
See me and my family moved in to our apartment complex
a gate with a serial code was put up next
they claim that this community is so drug free
but it don't look that way to me
Cuz I can see the young bloods hangin out at the store
24/7 drunk and lookin for a hit of the blow
it's powerful
or you know what else they try to do
make a curfew
especially for me and you
Traces of the new world order
time is gettin shorter
if we don't get prepared people it's gonna be a slaughter
my mind won't allow me to not be curious
my folk don't understand so they don't take it serious
but every now and then
I wonder if the gate was put up to keep crime out
or keep our @$$ in!?!
Who's that peekin in my window POW
no body
no body NOWWWWWWW!!!

my favorite C-Lo verse is from "Git Up, Git Out" on Outkast first album...
I don't recall ever graduating at all
sometimes i feel I'm just a disappointment to yall
everyday i just lay around, then i cant be found
always asking give me some, livin life like a bum
times is rough, my auntie got enough
problems of her own, n**** you supposed to be grown
i agree, i gotta be the man i'm supposed to be
but negativity is all you seem to ever see
i admit, i've done some dumb sh**
and i'm probably gonna do some more, you shouldn't hold that against me tho
why not, my musics all that i got
but sometimes we must get tested for this to be manifested
i know you know, but im gonna say this to you, i
get high, but i dont get too high
so whats the limit supposed to be
that must be why you cant get your a** up out the bed before 3
you need to get up, get out, cut that bullsh** out
aint you sick and tired yet of having to do without
man what up with all these questions
you act as though you know something i dont, do you have any suggestions
cuz every job i get is cruel and demeaning
sick of taking trash out and toilet bowl cleaning
but im also sick & tired of struggling
i never ever thought i'd have to resort to drug smuggling
nah, that aint what im about
see noah just continued traveling his route, without any doubt
or fear, i know the lord aint brought me this far
so he could drop me off here, did i make myself clear

no doubt...
a heaping helping of fried chicken, macaroni & cheese
and collard greens too big for my jeans
my favorite song on that album isn't soul food or cell therapy...it's track 2, thought process....song is insane
Cee-Lo:
sometimes i dont even know how im gonna eat
about 20 dollars away from being on the street
might see a n**** on TV
but hell it's almost like i'm rapping for free
that little money be gone, goddammit im grown
gotta help keep the heat and the lights on
it would be nice to have more, but i kinda like being poor
at least i know what my friends here for
i wanna lie to you sometimes, but i cant
i wanna tell you that its all good, but it aint
there's n***as hurtin, and uncertain about
if they gonna make it or not, thats why we got n***as killin
feelin like they coming up off a little dope they sold
you can get some gold, but we won't make it as a whole
because without no you, there would be no me
and without no unity, there will never be
any happiness, you could smoke a pound of sess
and it still won't relieve your stress, god bless
my thought process
Andre 3000:
the thought process
now as an outkast i was born, wasn't warned of the harm
that would come to meet me like MetLife, but yet life done
sent me through a lot of ups and downs like it aint nothing
like elevators, but i aint the one thats pushing the buttons
i got off at the thirteenth floor, when they told me that there wasn't one
they said it skips from twelve to fourteen
still smoking, still drinking
no, im sitting on the Lincoln, 4AM, thinking
that in reality the world is like a ball full of players
we trapped off in this maze, with walls made of layers
and only prayer, is the tightest game that you can have
the devils taken a swing that might explain the broken glass
but my crystal ball see the pistol fall to the wayside
nobody would die in cops & robbers when we used to play right
huh, only thing we feared was Williams, Wayne
never thought about hittin licks or slangin cane
did not think i'd be the one to give into abortion
label murderer because my a** is scorching
hot from the glock that sits under my seat
yeah it's real f***ed up that my folks come to get me
pffft....those two were spittin right there

wow...i agree with most of your all time top 10, and most of them would be in my top 10....but to not include biggie is a travesty, even if he's not #1...oversight maybe, i dont know, but not even honorable mention???
biggie is the best lyricist ever, and to me, it's really not even that close...of course, i respect your opinion, but biggie would eat half of those guys for breakfast (literally & figuratively)

Im not that much of a fan of biggie but I did forget to put him as honorable mention. I think BIG was over-rated. Dont get me wrong He could beat out a few in my top 10 but I listen to the others more than I would biggie. I think its because everyone else ruined Biggies songs for me by constantly ridin him.

Top 10
1. Biggie (no explanation needed....listen to anything he's ever recorded)
2a. Jay-Z
2b. Nas
4. Redman (one of the most original lyricists ever....his flow was unique, his lyrics were unique, he was the punchline king before big l mastered the technique)
5. Black Thought (from the legendary roots crew, best rapper to ever come out of PA)
6. Big L (only redman rivals him for punchlines, and even red never made me laugh out loud the way big l did)
7. Eminem (he's gotten stale, but 10 years ago, there wasn't a rapper on the planet who wanted to battle Em)
8. 2pac (while not the most complex, his words had meaning, and were very powerful)
9. Big Pun (this guy could squeeze more syllables into a line and still be understood than anybody else...a solid battle rapper and he made hit records)
10. Ghostface (best in Wu, easily...well lyricist that is...ODB & RZA were their greatest contributions)
honorable mention:
Canibus - there weren't many bigger fans of him than me, but he's too smart for the mass consumers... the guy should be a history professor or mathematician, or nuclear physicist...one of the greatest battle rappers ever, he let the disappointment of his first album get to him, and control him...
Cassidy - the closest thing to Big L i can think of...a mixtape murderer with crazy punchlines and an ill delivery...just not nearly consistent enough on songs to be mentioned in top 10, or even 20 for that matter...he can spit verses for days, but cant write songs
jadakiss - sort of like cassidy...a great lyricist, but cant make a complete album to save his life...got his most recent album and listened to track 1 and was thinking this could be good...turns out track 1 is the best song on the album...lol
Ludacris - this guy is one of my favorites...has lyrics & punchlines for days, makes good albums, and has one of the best personalities on the microphone of all time
there's a lot of other guys who i could mention who would make my top 20, but you hit some of them
some guys i disagree with completely
Method Man - was never a great lyricist, and has gotten worse...his biggest appeal was his sing-song delivery, his raspy voice, and his rock star persona
Busta Rhymes - again, not really a great lyricist, and popularity is similar to why Meth is popular...both make good songs & are good artists, but these two wont ever be contenders for best lyricist
AZ - definitely a good lyricist, but is a poor mans Nas...same style, just not near as clever or creative....have you heard The Hardest by AZ & Styles P? Large Professor does the beat and it's sick
Ice Cube - was a great lyricist, in 1988...even his best stuff is mediocre compared to the guys who came after him
Kool Moe Dee - no way in hell is he a great lyricist...lol...and i love old school rap...i hope you were thinking of kool g rap, because he & rakim were the two best rappers from the 80's

that's cool...i do understand that...i just think you'd be hard pressed to find many people that wouldn't put him in at least the top 3
