Rock or Rap (a spawn thread)

I like both, I like some Rap, I hate some Rap, I like some Rock and I hate some rock. It's not the genre for me it's the artist. I hate what "Rap" is now (Lil' Wayne, Soulja Boy, etc.) I like rap with good lyrics (Eminem, Nas, Biggie, etc.) that's not just how the beats sound (Lil' Wayne, Soulja Boy, etc.)

Im more into heavy music than rap. I do think some rap is good, but a lot of it is junk. I'd much rather throw on a Black Sabbath or old school Testament cd than any rap cd.

I can always listen to the rap hip/hop era of 89 to hm 96 then after that it seems to of all changed but back then, true samples were used, the message was about struggle and the hussle and the image content video was was nuts on a low budget which showed more of the real aspect but through and through I am a rock fan.

My very first piece of music I owned was Guns N Roses "Appettite For Destruction"
Ever been grounded on your birthday? I was after playing "Mr Brownstone" mind you while during my grade school years. Since its grew of L.A. rock to thrash to NYC metal and ever since, well a metalhead becameth.

Rock. Pantera is my favorite as well bands like Metallica, Megadeath, Tool, Static X, Sevendust, and stuff like that. I don't know why but I have never been into rap.

Im mainly a rap person, but there is some rock i like. And yes, i am one of the few that likes Lil Wayne (but not Soulja Boy). And i also do like a lot of new school rap AND old school rap. And most importantly, Eminem is the best.
