Side A doesnt trade by sell value therefore its a moot point... If we went into sell value... he could have chose $130 worth of Auto's for a patch that sold for $60 on eBay the same week of the offer...

That was my other thought - if it was agreed upon that the trade was by BV. In that case you could still say the value isn't "even" if BV's matched up, IMO.

Because, in all likelihood, there are less people trading for Henne then there are for Marino - and the likelihood of finding someone who would trade a decent amount for Henne would be less than finding the same for Marino. Basically, the caliber of player qualifies the value, thus the whole point about trading in Side A's favor in terms of BV.

But it's a grossly overbooked patch......Beckett doesn't seem to correct BVs on older sets anymore.

All of the Marino's in that set are overpriced. Inserts and parallels #ed /50 and /60 BV $100-$120. Since when does a parallel /50 of ANY player BV $120?

By the same measure, the Lott is overpriced too. Nearly every unnumbered auto of him can be had for $25 BV or less. Most of his autos don't hit $80 BV unless they are numbered /25 or less.

    So it's a push.

Any way you shake it, not many people would trade a dual patch of Marino even-up for autos of Henne.

Honestly... the quality of player was only dropped as the third or 4th option for the trade as Side A could have chose 3 HOF autos to go along with... for a patch... I have never ever traded even book on HOF autos for plain patch card... but please keep the thoughts coming.

The Lott sold for $50 on ebay recently... Lott has maybe 5 oncard autos in Niners Uni... and the Topps HOF set is a highly collected set

Those HOF autos sell very nicely. On card, great looking set, highly popular.

The only legit players in Side B, really, are Lott and the dual coach auto IMO. But even then, the dual coach auto is more of a niche card. So I don't know if Side A is really into the coach auto thing or whatnot.

If you give me a list of cards laden with a player (Henne) that I'm not keen on, chances are I'm going to ask for it to be in my favor.

But again I don't know Side A's interests, so that variable is unknown.
