i agree...but not becuase of the cork incident...he simply isnt having an all-star year

I feel the same way you do on this. His performance just has not been good this year and would have been a waste of a spot if he went.

He just hasn't had as much playing time as usually.
Obviously with the suspension but wasn't he hurt for a little while too? Willis may be off to a great start but Wood is having a great year too. If the Cubs had a better offense, Wood would probably have 10-12 wins already. I think Willis should have taken Benitez spot though. Benitez didn't really deserve it. The only bad thing about the all-star game is that with teams who really have don't have a star like the tigers, will have a player in the game who is probably taking the spot of some one better.

i hate him so bad but he isnt doing that bad compared to some of the people that they picked 20 hr's 60+ rbi and almost batting 300. that's not a bad year
