What Made You Join A Sports Card Message Board?
I just had the thought run through my mind today of what this hobby would be like for me if I was still just a member of eBay and how did I ever get started on sports card message boards.
For me it started with just reading some posts on a message board, mainly other peoples box breaks and I thought why not since it's free I'll join to see what other people in the hobby are like and share my box breaks as well. Then I got more involved in trading and collecting more of a PC rather than just opening packs and boxes. I think I would have gotten burned out by now if I stuck with just busting wax and nothing else.
What made you join a sports card message board?

Nearly six years ago, I googled "Box Breaks" and read a thread from a guy who busted some blasters. He ended his thread with "take care, spuds." Grammatically, it appeared as though he was referring to everyone else as "spuds." Hence, I thought the site/members were called that. So, I tried every variation of www.spuds.com a few days later to find the site, but, needless to say, had no luck. I found it about a dozen pages into my next google search.
So... thanks, Steve.

I was talking to my uncle and he showed me his collection, and when i went back home for Christmas Break, i found all my cards. So i brought them back to my apartment for college and searched Sports Card Forum on Google, and this popped up.
Glad i found it, or else i wouldn't have the cards i do right now
