I am EXTREMELY disappointed in our much vaunted bullpen. We claw our way back, take a 6-4 lead, and immediately give it all back. This game will have me fuming til Saturday night. No lead in a series is safe, and when your up on a team with 9 outs to go, you finish them off. I'm still confident we'll finish it out, but Hughes....What are you doing out there??? Posada calls for a HIGH fastball, not a batting practice fastball. They looked completely un-nerved. Luckily the last two are back in the Bronx, where I'm confident they can end it. We knew the Angels wouldn't just roll over, now they have a little momentum going into game 6. Pettite is the perfect guy to send out there though, as seasoned as the come, hopefully he'll set things straight. Let's end it in front of the home crowd Saturday...Let's go Yankees!

Only one game. Not even that. Only really two innings. The team will be fine.

I'm sure we'll be fine, there were a lot of good things to take away from the game. Tex had a huge hit, we had a nice rally, bats are starting to liven up. Swisher has to take a seat though, he's not Tex, who you figure had to break out of it eventually. Swisher is a career .230(ish?) hitter and is clearly struggling mightily. Put Cabrera in RF, Gardner in CF and see how that goes. It was nice to see the Yanks not fold after that disastrous first inning.
