Would Like Some Help
Hey guys. I want to start my own forum on the web but now sure how I should go about it. What program should I use, etc.?

I don't know much about the technical aspects of forums, but most that I've been on use vBulletin...is that the type of program you're looking for?
What type of forum do you want to start?

I just want a nice cheap forum to start off, not a big expensive program like vBulletin

unfortunately there are few options i am aware of. I was going to start a musician forum a year or so ago. i think that vbulletion is the way to go. if you do not want to pay anything you can go with proboards. they are free. you can send pms and everything. problem is you dont get your own domain it would be like YOURSITE.proboards.com or somthing.

Have you tried googling how to build forums? This may help. Will your forum be free, or will you charge a fee?
What type of forum are you looking to do? What audience are you looking to promote this to? You also have to think about advertising your forum/website.
