    Accidently damaged a card

I was moving a new couch into my computer room and thought I had everything picked up and put away, one card managed to still be on the floor,it was a brian urlacher 4 color elements patch card from 2007 leaf r&s,badly indented it ugh.My question is this I already wrote a letter to panini explaining how it was my fault and it was actually a card they sent me for being shorted a hit in one of my boxes.I am sending them the card as they have given me a case #.I only asked if they could restore it to its original condition and if they couldn't to just send me the card back,am I asking too much or would you guys as collectors do the same thing, just looking for opinions as I already stated to panini it was all my fault and they did an excellent job with the box shortage replacement. Thanks for the read take care Steve

I think you are asking too much. And, actually, I'm not clear what you are asking them to do. Fix it in some way? Or replace it?

I am asking them to fix it not replace it,I already told them if they couldn't restore it to its original condition I will understand and to just send me back the damaged card,I know I am at fault and if they did fix it it would be going above and beyond what a company is expected to do,but just looking at a damaged 4 color patch card is making me cringe. Thanks for your reply, take care Steve

So when you say you indented it, do you mean that the corner got dinged real good? Or something else?

No I wish it had just dinged the corner,I could probably live with that. The wooden leg of the couch creased and indented it right by where the patch is,if it was a normal gu I would just take the loss and say oh well, but I don't have that many patch cards and for the life of me I don't know how that one got on the floor,oh the joys of having kids in the house.

I see. I wouldn't have guessed that was anything that could really be fixed. What could anyone do to fix a crease?

I doubt they can do anything either, but there's no harm in trying, maybe they stll have the prototype on file and can just remake it.

I don't think they are going to make just one card. Not for something like this.

I think you're out of luck. Just take it as it is, a damaged card. Card companies don't "fix" cards. You could ask if they have another card with the same attributes that you can purchase.
