fake patch question
Hey are the fake patches on "the cup" rookie cards always like crazy patches?

Hard to say because unless we have a image of the card previously we can't proove it. So some may have been change from white to 3 color and no one know.
UD the cup RC was all photograph by Gomaz this year so it's easier to investigate a 2008-09 The Cup RC for instance. Most common forge card seem to be the cup RC. Past year, gomaz and other have keep some archive for the bigger Cup RC but are not complete.
I remember one this year, it would have been hard to tell if gomaz did not have a image of the original.Last edited by CoolHandLuke; 11-05-2009 at 11:15 AM.

Gomaz has photographed every single patch card in the 08-09 set, including the rookies, Limited Logo, Emblems of Endorsement, Honorable Numbers, and all others.
Generally speaking, yes patch fakers put "holy cow that's an awesome patch" patches on the cards in order to increase their perceived sale value. Sometimes they'll simply swap out a one-colour for a nice 3-colour stripe (like a number) and others they'll go crazy and put something insane on there - this is most prominent with Blackhawks, Panthers, and Kings patches.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I have a cory schneider 08-09 from the cup 2clr. Not sure it is it fake or not. I am unsure how to post pictures on here. Where can I go to see the 08-09 cup patches Gomaz photographed? Thanks a lot

Thanks for the instructions. Here is the pic of the card. Tell me what you think. The only think I find odd is the the seams on the bottom of the white patch are not there but it is there on t he top half.

Really only Jeremy would know for sure. That looks like a number - are there any other Cup RCs of Schneider that appear to have the number for the patch?

Like Richard said, Only gomaz could tell you for sure. He usually jump in thread with fake patch in the title, maybe he will post later to confirm it.
