I'm as conservative as they come. If it is on their own property and out of view I don't have a problem with it. If it is in view it may cause some problems with people.

It's disrespectful and shameful...you left your home country to come to the US for a reason, you should respect that fact and be grateful for the opportunity. If your home country is better than the US, why aren't you there now?

That being said, it's private property and there's such a thing as freedom of speech, so they're free to do as they like.

I would ask them why, if they consider their native country to be "above" the US, did they come to the US in the first place? That being said, you can do whatever you want on your own property.

No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy. No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof: Provided, That nothing in this section shall make unlawful the continuance of the practice heretofore followed of displaying the flag of the United Nations in a position of superior prominence or honor, and other national flags in positions of equal prominence or honor, with that of the flag of the United States at the headquarters of the United Nations.

Jermz beat me to it. It is illegal to raise any other countries flag above the American flag.

Now the challenge...finding someone who will actually do something about it.

why are people assuming that because they raise their Mexican flag they weren't born in this country? I don't have a problem with it, they're prouder of their heritage over their current location. Would people have a problem with someone having an Ireland flag higher than a U.S. flag at their pub? Or a Chinese flag higher than a U.S. flag outside their apartment in Chinatown?

we all may be Americans, but our lineage, our heritage, for just about all is elsewhere and should be taken as more prideful over the current place where we reside. I've lived in America all my life, but my family tree I'm English, German and Australian
