That being said, you can do whatever you want on your own property.

No, you can't. The law is the law.

I have a mexican flag outside my house year round and dont even own a united states flag. Not even on the 4th of july. Try and do something about it.

The catch is that you don't have it flying higher than the American Flag. However if you were to fly it above the US flag (On your property) and were my neighbor rest assured that I would visit you. We might not solve anything but we would discuss it.

Are you a U.S. Citizen? Just wondering

My ancestors were here before flags and the U.S. existed but yes I am technically a US citizen.

Do you consider yourself a US Citizen?

Should I just because I was born here. I owe nothing to this country, My rights are my rights. They were not granted by some government, if anything taken away. The right to live naturally, giving back to the earth in order to take, the right to a healthy environment free of pollution, the right to live on my own land for nothing but the work I put in, the right to not be distracted by education, work and this ratrace that we call "civilized". If you believe America is the best in the world I completely agree, 600 years ago.

If they, or anyone, is more proud of their heritage than their current nation, why are they here instead of there? I have no problem with being proud of your heritage and celebrating it, but they are here instead of there by choice. It's enjoying all the freedoms and advantages America has that their heritage doesn't without appreciating them. And no, it doesn't matter what country that heritage is.

I struggle w/ this as well. If you are in the U.S. and taking advantage of the freedoms this country affords I think some respect is owed. That being said, IMO the flag or flag postion should be up to the home owner on private property.

You're right, some of them would just kill someone of another tribe entering their territory...no need for immigration laws. And I'm willing to bet there were more that would fight to protect their land than would willingly let another tribe take it. Since the beginning of time people have done whatever it takes to keep other people off of their territory...or from crossing their imaginary lines, as you like to put it. Anyone who believes otherwise is quite naive.

Great Point. Not all tribes had good relationships w/ each other.

IMO the Native American perspective is quite different from that of immigrants since you/they are "first peoples". I see nothing wrong w/ Native Americans putting their culture and heritage before being an American citizen since they were here first.

Like to Know opinions on whether it is right for some one to raise the Mexican flag or any other flag, higher than the US flag in this country The United States

Reason why: This is happening all through out the South west. Seen this in a small village in NM, United States

Thank you for your opinions, on this subject of flags.

I personally have a problem with it: (1) This is the US, we are not in a foreign country. (2) We would more than likely be killed if we placed US flag higher in a foreign country. (3) A true American patriot would have more respect than this.
We must realize that the flag means more than patriotism.
That fact that I see it being a sign of being conquered. example Our Flag being raised in Japan.
Many say This country was not ours, perhaps it was not, but now it is ours.
I have heard in many Hispanic churches, there are ministers preaching a few state were stolen by the US and should be taken back one way or another.

I am a Hispanic . More proud to be born in the United States. Therefore I see myself as a True American That would not raise our flag higher in a foreign country.
These people should b ashamed to do this.

Any one have ideas on what I can try doing about the high flying Mexican flag.
