My ancestors were here before flags and the U.S. existed but yes I am technically a US citizen.

why are people assuming that because they raise their Mexican flag they weren't born in this country? I don't have a problem with it, they're prouder of their heritage over their current location. Would people have a problem with someone having an Ireland flag higher than a U.S. flag at their pub? Or a Chinese flag higher than a U.S. flag outside their apartment in Chinatown?

we all may be Americans, but our lineage, our heritage, for just about all is elsewhere and should be taken as more prideful over the current place where we reside. I've lived in America all my life, but my family tree I'm English, German and Australian

If they, or anyone, is more proud of their heritage than their current nation, why are they here instead of there? I have no problem with being proud of your heritage and celebrating it, but they are here instead of there by choice. It's enjoying all the freedoms and advantages America has that their heritage doesn't without appreciating them. And no, it doesn't matter what country that heritage is.

Were they?not to many mexicans in the u.s. before it was the u.s.,mexicans and american indians do not get along, but then again maybe we are all related

"If Kennewick Man had the features of a Mongoloid (Asian), then little doubt would remain… but he didn’t have Mongoloid features, he had the features of a Caucasian which begs future testing. The Indian tribes could have a lot at stake here if it was ultimately proven Caucasians had been in America first... or even if they arrived about the same time. Perhaps this suggests the real reason behind the tribes claim... they want to 'bury the evidence'."

I happen to be native american, mexican, and white. Before the spaniards arrived the original mexicans were natives. Aztec, Mayans, Incas, Tainos etc. I am sure certain tribes didnt get along but I bet we didnt have invisible lines and maps drawn. We occupied North, South and Central America including the Carribean. Caucasian arrived here the same time as Native Americans? Thats a good one.

You think each tribe didn't have their own territory?

Im sure the tribes had their own territories but didnt have immigration laws and kick someone out like today. I might also add that I will not fall for skewed native american history that perceives us as warriors and savages just like the Zulus and african tribes are portrayed as well. Many Tribes Hate war with a passion.

Weren't parts of Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada and possibly several other states all once considered Mexican territory?

You're right, some of them would just kill someone of another tribe entering their territory...no need for immigration laws. And I'm willing to bet there were more that would fight to protect their land than would willingly let another tribe take it. Since the beginning of time people have done whatever it takes to keep other people off of their territory...or from crossing their imaginary lines, as you like to put it. Anyone who believes otherwise is quite naive.
