    RIP Tia

Yesterday we had to have our dog, Tia, put to sleep. She would have been 14 in January. She hadn't been able to see or hear for a long time. She was losing weight and fur, couldn't easily get around, and seemed to have no interest in anything anymore. It was the worst day of my life. I left the house having two dogs and came home to just one. I got to see her before we buried her. I petted her and gave her one last kiss. She's buried at the corner of the house... which is where my room is at. My bed is right in the corner so we are currently laying together :) We put in her frisbee (favorite toy), her favorite squeaky toy, and a handful of bones. Today hasn't been much easier. :( I miss her so much already!
Poor little Tobie is so sad. We've been trying to give her extra attention.

Here's a picture I made (this was several years ago):

This is the day we got her! She was so tiny! She hadn't even grown into her ears yet!!

Much sadness. But remember the great times and I promise it will get easier. I have been down the road myself losing my dog the day before my 17th birthday. Very bad time, but now I look at his pics and I am so happy for the joy he brought me and my family while growing up. I am sorry for your loss, but I am also happy that she obviously gave you guys great joy. That alone makes her passing hard, but you will smile again.

Thats so sad. I never had a dog, so I really don't know how it feels. I'm sure its as painful as losing someone close to you. I'm so sorry.

It will be hard for she was a major part of our family for so long. She basically grew up with our youngest. She turned two years old the day before we brought Tia home. We loss my wifes Papaw little over two years ago, papaw and Tia were very close, so we feel alittle better that she has a best friend to play with and being taken care of.

In time we will get over the pain of not having her in our lifes and have the great memories that we all shared. Go in peace Tia, we love you, miss you and will always remember you.

It's never easy to lose someone so important. Its always strange to look around the house and see the puppy laying around or waiting for you. I still find myself looking for our golden who was put to sleep in march. Its very sad to not hear his paws walking when your in the basement or when you have that last piece of food that he always got. But she is in a better place with no pain running around in that big cloudy field in the sky

I`m really sorry to hear about this Shayne!! I just had to have my dog Buddy put to sleep in September so I know how you feel. It`s like losing one of the family for sure. I still miss Buddy alot. I had him cremated and he`s sitting on my computer desk now. Here`s a pic of the box his ashes are in

They put half a gold heart inside it and gave me the other half. It`s kinda nice. It takes time to get over losing a pet. If I can do anything for you please don`t hesitate to ask ok. RIP Tia!! I`ll be thinkin good thoughts for y`all!! Take care!

Sorry to hear of your loss. It is so hard to part with a devoted friend/companion.

They do become a family member, and always give love unconditionally.

We recently had to say goodbye to a beloved pet also (Sept 7th) Jessie was our friend for 8 years and was always there for us no matter what, so we know your sadness. We lay Jess to rest in her favorite shady spot, so she is still close to us, as is Tia to you.

The heaviness in your hearts will ease in time, and your good memories of her will carry you on. Our thoughts are with you.

Definately very sad. She was my best friend since the first time I saw her..and at times, my only friend. Its definately different without her, but I know she's much happier now. I bet she spent the whole day yesterday playin frisbee with papaw. :) I'm sure of it. I feel so bad for Tobie though. She is so sad and lost without Tia. Tia was around for her whole life, she just doesnt know what to do. We've been trying to give her extra attention and stuff, but we can only do so much. Last night me and Tob layed in bed and shared our favorite stories of Tia. :)

    My favorite:
Me and the sisters were home alone one afternoon and someone came to the door. Tia was in the backyard and when she came around to the front she saw the woman on the porch. As she was walking down the stairs Tia attacked her ankles and made her fall. LOL Then Tia just smiled about it and went in. hahah

Ash, you got the story wrong. She was in the house. I was holding her back with my foot while I had the door somewhat opened. As the lady was walking down the steps, she like ran past me and ran out and bit her ankle.. making her fall over sideways. You didn't see it, I don't think. hahah
