Question about Richard Jefferson and his RC Card

I have 2 Richard Jefferson RCs:

    2001-02 Topps Chrome Refractors
    2001-02 Topps Chrome

Are these good RCs? How good is Jefferson- I don't see him play very much though he looked like a good player when I saw him at Arizona. How much could these card fetch in a trade or for cash? Thanks

We will start with looking at the Beckett prices (frowning):
    2001-02 Topps Chrome Refractors BV = $48
    2001-02 Topps Chrome BV = $8

What you can get in trade value poosibly (providing you trade for simliar cards. Trading for higher caliber players or autos and game used will yield less trade value):
    2001-02 Topps Chrome Refractors BV = $48
    2001-02 Topps Chrome BV = $8

What I think they should be priced:
    2001-02 Topps Chrome Refractors BV = $25
    2001-02 Topps Chrome BV = $5

What they sell for in the open market (true value):
    2001-02 Topps Chrome Refractors BV = $3
    2001-02 Topps Chrome BV = $2

Here is an example. I can get 22 ROOKIES from this set for $9 + an mj

To further answer your questions: Richard Jefferson is a good player. He plays on a winning team in the nets. Gets plenty of minutes and is a great NBA scorer. Unfortunately in the hobby he or his cards are not that popular. Finding a true Richard Jefferson collector will solidify the best value obtained for these cards

I don't understand how a good RC that books for almost $50 would sell for $3 (especially if he is a good player) and the normal RC that books for 5 times less would be only $1 cheaper. Please explain.

His stats look pretty similar to Corey Maggette's.

I also have a 2002-03 Topps Chrome Refractors White Border Manu Ginobili RC graded PSA 9. In your estimation what could I get for it (sell/trade)?

    Thanks

Dodgerfan- the reason you would get such a low sell price is b/c even though he is a great basketball player, he has no demand...to have a high selling price they have to be in demand, like Carmelo/Lebron for Bskbll....Rothlesburger/Manning for Ftbll...and i have no clue for bsbll b/c i dont collect. Plus...the cards you have arnt all that rare, if they were #'d to lets say 500, the sell price would be helped greatly, and another factor is the fact taht the card has no GU or Auto on it, which would help the sell price too. As you stated...corey Maggette's stats are similar to Jefferson's, but you forgot the fact that Maggette's cards are worth next to nothing compared to players such as Shaq/kobe/MJ/Tmac/VC/AI and other big name players. Even Paul Pierce..a GREAT basketball player, and almost the entire Boston Celtics team's cards go for less then they should...it all has to do with supply & demand.

Well said Gamer. Dodgerfan if you need any more help or explaining please just let me know.

PLEASE ALWAYS NOTE: Beckett prices are derived from who knows where. Just because they say a card is worth something does not mean that is the case. It all depends on what picture you want to look at and who you believe. Just check out the link I provided and the proof is in the pudding. There is even a refractor in the lot lol. Or just try and sell your card and see what happens.
