I'd say go with The Cup. As everyone said, it'd be much easier to get a financial return, the patches this year overall are just awesome (for the most part) and as you said before, you have a guaranteed case hit which is usually something VERY nice. Also, though you won't be opening as many packs, you also won't have to deal with as much worthless base cards or possibly missing an insert or anything like that.
In the end, it's yours to decide but I'd say go with The Cup.
Good luck and let us all know when you decide!

Just so there's no confusion for anyone...you can get the Crosby, but only in 06/07. Crosby and Ovechkin as well as a couple of others were not included originally in the 05/06 release, therefore UD added them to the 06/07 release. Just want to be sure if you choose SPA, you get the correct release.

You absolutely can get Crosby & Ovechkin RCs in 06/07 I myself pulled 3 Crosbys and 1 Ovechkin in 06/07 SPA. 0 Malkins, 0 Staals, 0 Kessels, but 3 Crosbys and 1 Ovechkin, lol. Not bad considering I opened a comparible amount of 05/06 SPA product and pulled only 1 Ovechkin and 0 Crosbys.
I am a quality above quantity guy, so I say go for The Cup, hands down, no question.

By my knowledge this is absolutely false. I pulled an Ovechkin from 05/06, and I've seen Crosby's pulled from 05/06 at my local store. The 05/06 was split into 2 waves of release. The first wave of release sold very poorly so UD did not go ahead with the second wave, instead they inserted the hits from the second wave into 06/07.
Crosby and Ovechkins are 100% absolutely in both the 05/06 & 06/07 product.

I would go with the cup. I purchased a 6 tin case and got lucky with a Gretzky Emblems of Endorsement and made more than $500 profit off my case price.
Very rare to do that but I figured I would throw you a bone showing it can be done ;)
