10 Packs Panini/Donruss Threads
Nothing notable. No hits.
Base cards look alright, card feels like 09/10 Topps.
no rookies. a few inserts of Derrick Rose, Pau Gasol, George Gervin, Rajon Rondo.
Boring actually. The hits according to a friend that opened this already is the same as everything else that has come out. Some different stuff but the majority is the same. The die cut jersey's are annoying and won't be worth a dime.
Goes along with the same theory that I have mentioned time and time again.....pushing out 5-6 products in 5 months is REALLY pushing it. No sense of quality control, even the pictures on the base cards are the same. Panini should know that there are still people out there that like base cards....
Glad I didn't buy a box.
oh and yes, I am talking about the new Threads that hasn't come out in the U.S. yet or is coming out this coming week.
I give this a B-. Too bad I didn't get hits so maybe I am a little down about that, but just the feel of the product is just boring. The whole rushed factor gets to me really badly...according to the LCS owner, his case bust already revelead redemptions YET again.

They're using the ugly diagonal lines again!!! Grr... please come up with different designs!!! The little Jersey diecut card is a nice concept, but they HAVE to start making some inserts rarer than others. Being able to pull 10-12 of these diecut jersey inserts from a single box makes the cards less exciting.
They are doing the foil thing again too. It's nice the first time around, but do they have to do the same foil parallel for every product?
Kudos to them for not using the blocky ugly yellow panini logo though! And upgraded it to a better looking logo with a basketball. Hope they keep the yellow rectangle out of future releases as well.

the yellow box logo is at the back, where it is again out of place. the threads logo looks nicer than the card.lol just kidding.
yeah about the diagonal lines, whats the point of having them if the picture of the player is just gonna block it out.
the holofoils are nothing too significant but its nicer than the base cards. yeah, the die cuts I THOUGHT were just for autos to go on them....but you can get a bunch out of a box. 10 packs got me 4 of them (redd, peja, lebron, tmac)
do you guys remember Skybox Thunder from like 98/99, the insert called Lift Off? the holofoil looks like that, so if its been used 10 years ago, then its nothing so special now.Last edited by kornbreadchild; 12-13-2009 at 06:36 AM.

Hey buddy, don't think I pulled a Westbrook base in my 10 packs and there were no rookies in my 10 packs. i think RC's are shortprinted, but you do get those manufactured patch's.
Which of the pictured cards do you need? I also have a Gasol that looks like the Rondo....and die cuts of Peja, Redd, Tmac, Lebron..
that should be it..
